Jeanne Palmer-Fornarola, is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University at Buffalo where she served as Director of the undergraduate Dance Program 2009 – 2019. She teaches courses in ballet technique, dance history, appreciating dance and dance pedagogy. She is the director of the UB Dance outreach program, Bridging Communities Through Dance which places dance majors in teaching internships in community programs and Western NY Schools. She has directed and choreographed for UB’s Zodiaque Dance Ensemble, Zodiaque Dance Company, Back to Buffalo… Alumni Concert, the UB Art Galleries, NYC staged readings for new musicals and Starring Buffalo’s Hunchback of Notre Dame, Little Shop of Horrors and Evita. She was the founder/director of Danceworks of Rochester Inc. and currently runs Personalized Learning in Dance Education, offering individual courses or multi-course workshops to professional dance educators. Jeanne has been a Teaching Artist for Southern Tier Institute for Arts in Education in Binghamton, NY, and was the Founder/Director of Binghamton University’s Summer Dance Program. She has been on faculty at the Buffalo Academy of Visual and Performing Arts, Dance Masters of America Teachers Training School, as well as adjunct faculty at Broome Community College, The Graduate School of Education at UB and Buffalo State College. She is a frequent contributor to Dance Studio Life, Dance Teacher/Sprit Magazine and Journal of Dance Education. She is a past Secretary of New York State Dance Education Organization. She holds an MA from the University at Buffalo, BA Mercyhurst University and NYS certification in Dance K-12
