Ray Boucher has performed for over 20 years in the United States and abroad, including theater companies in New York City, Newport, RI, and the Buffalo, NY, area. Besides acting, Boucher spent some years doing sketch and stand-up comedy in New York City at such clubs as the Gotham City Club, the New York Comedy Club and the Comedy Cellar. He also wrote, directed, and starred in a sitcom in Beijing, China. Boucher studied at SUNY Brockport (B.S., Theatre Arts and Literature), SUNY Cortland (M.A., Literature-focus on Critical Analysis), and SUNY Buffalo (postgraduate work in the School of Education). As well, Boucher has taught in theater and English programs in China and South Korea. For his work at Genesee Community College, he was awarded the 2014 NISOD Excellence Award and the 2018 SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence.
