Ron holds a BFA in Theater Design and Production from the University at Buffalo, and his work over the years has spanned a wide variety of Scenic Production related roles.
Shortly after graduation, Ron spent several seasons at Studio Arena Theatre as their Assistant Technical Director and Purchasing Agent, then as the Facilities Coordinator for their second stage space.
In 1996, Ron left Buffalo and spent nearly a decade working in the Washington DC Metro area and had the pleasure of working with such notable companies as the Shakespeare Theatre Company and the Folger Shakespeare Library. Eventually, he settled in as a Project Manager and Scenic Charge Artist based out of Alexandria, Virginia, where he took part in the planning, fabrication, and painting of well over 500 productions, ranging from operas and theme parties to trade shows and Fortune 500 company product launches.
Shortly after his return to Buffalo, Ron became the resident Scenic Designer at the Irish Classical Theatre Company from 2008 to 2013, his most notable designs on the Andrew's Theatre stage include The Servant of Two Masters, The Learned Ladies, and Cat On A Hot Tin Roof.
Locally, Ron's scenic endeavors have been presented for such companies as Shakespeare in Delaware Park, Jewish Repertory Theatre, Road Less Traveled Productions, Torn Space Theatre, and Neglia Ballet.
Ron became the Technical Director for the Theater Department in 2011 and is responsible for mentoring students in Scenic Construction and Painting, Stage Craft, Rigging, Properties Construction, and Shop/Crew Management.
